GCFD receives a new firetruck

Guilderland Center Fire District takes delivery of a new 2009 Pierce Pumper. E-47 will arrive at the firehouse on Friday December 18th. The members will spend all day Saturday going over the truck and learning how to operate it. Chief David Dodge hopes to have the truck in service by mid January.
The new E-47 is a 2009 Pumper on an International chassis, built by Pierce Manufacturing. The truck has 1000 gallon water tank and 1250 GPM pump with the capability of pump and roll. Also the truck can hold five firefighters and is equipped with 4 wheel drive. The new E-47 will be used to support structure fire attack, all outdoor fires and hazardous condition responses.
